Materials science and engineering alumnus Ankur Gupta, ’17, has been recognized for his services as a student board member of the Thermal Spray Society, a division of the American Society for Metauls International. He learned the basics and gained hands-on experience in thermal spraying the plasma nano-manufacturing laboratory at UCF. He was nominated for the student board member position at TSS based on his experience and enthusiasm to serve the thermal spray industry. Gupta currently works in the thermal spray industry, where he applys the materials processing and analysis techniques he learned at UCF.
