MSE Junior Ms. Rhondra Giscombe received the Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence Fellowship (SURF) in the amount of $1500 to develop and investigate “Solids and Liquid Repellency in Omniphobic Coatings” with Dr. Mukhopadhyay. SURF Fellows participate in independent research and creative projects in collaboration with UCF Faculty during the summer and present their work in the Summer Poster Showcase that features outstanding undergraduate research projects from OUR Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows, as well as projects from the NSF HYPER Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU).
In another news, a team of undergraduate students comprising Mr. Earnest Swan also received the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) Student Research grant to investigate “Intercalation Effects for Developing Durable and Flexible Clay films” with Dr. Mukhopadhyay. The team received a $1500 grant for their research.
