Emmanuel Okogbue got selected as a finalist for the Lemelson-MIT competition. This’s an extremely competitive & prestigious platform, only selecting a very small number of top grad students nation-wide.
If the process is the same as in previous years, there are about 3 finalists in each category out of > 100 applicants. A small number of graduate and undergraduate team applicants is notified by December 17, 2020, if they are advanced as finalists in each category. If selected as a finalist, applicants are required to submit additional materials due by January 13, 2021. Winners will be notified in late February 2021 and there will be national coverage/ceremony in April together with announcing the finalists where he’s already included.
