Ms. Kasey Rigby received the Burnett Honors College HUT scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for Fall 2020. Kasey is a junior majoring in Biomedical Sciences and has been working with Dr. Kausik Mukhopadhyay for her Honors undergraduate thesis through research in the MSE department. Based on Kasey’s excellent work in the Honors Undergraduate Thesis (HUT) program, the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) HUT scholarship selection committee has awarded her with this prestigious award. The Burnett Honors College partners with the academic colleges on Main Campus and UCF regional campuses in sponsoring Honors Undergraduate Thesis scholarships. These scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis within each college or campus and are available every fall and spring semester to all eligible students who are enrolled in HUT credit hours. Kasey was also part of  Dr. Mukhopadhyay’s team that won the Undergraduate Research Award funded by UCF’s Office of Undergraduate Research, last year.
