Welcome to the website of Energy Storage System Lab at UCF! The lab is established in January 2025. We are actively looking for UG and PG students and postdocs with a passion on energy storage to join us.

Spring 2026

May 2026 Dr. Asadipour is going to present our research work in ECS 249th meeting.

May 2026 We finished the Spring 2026 semester strong, our senior design team did a great presentation. Post | LinkedIn

April 2026 Dr. Ren toured Orlando Utility Commissions with other MSE faculties.

March 2026 Dr. Ren presented in the CECS faculty research talk. Yuxun Ren, UCF Department of Materials Science and Engineering

January 2026 We submitted two patent applications to USPTO.

Fall 2025

Nov 2025 The lab’s data-driven battery model built from our in-house developed code and data is working! Open to collaboration!

July 2025 The lab’s battery prototyping and testing facilities are setup and in use for testing.

Jun. 2025 Dr. Ren lectured the high school students in the Camp Connect event of 2026.

Spring 2025

Apr. 2025 Dr. Ren served as a panel reviewer for NSF.

Feb. 2025 Dr. Ren participated in the UCF CECS showcase event for high school students. Great to talk to students and parents.

Jan. 2025 Dr. Ren served as reviewers for NSF-GRFP fellowship and ACS-PRF grant.

Jan. 2025 The lab is established at UCF.
