Swetha Barkam was selected for a Graduate Excellence in Materials Science Award for 2016. Specifically, Barkam was awarded fourth place overall, and first within the sapphire ranking division.

Swetha Barkam, a Ph.D. student in Seal’s research group will be awarded the Artistic Creativity award for the first annual ACerS PCSA Creativity Competition at Missouri University’s Department of Science and Technology.

Soumen Das, a member of Dr. Seal’s research group, has received a young investigator award for “International Conference on Ionizing Processes (ICIP 2016).” The conference will take place Oct. 10-14 at BNL.
